Portage Canal Lift Bridge

The Portage Lake lift bridge connects the cities of Hancock and Houghton in the upper Peninsula of Michigan. It lifts to allow Snowmobiles to cross on the lower level as they are a popular way to travel in winter in this college town. It is close to Michigan Technological University.
